ポーランド北東部・ポドラシェ地方のヤノフ村では、18世紀頃から「二重織」という特別な織りの技法が受け継がれてきました。
鳥や木、花、馬など、自然や暮らしの風景をモチーフにした素朴で詩的な図柄は、ヤノフ織ならではの魅力です。

This piece by Danuta Radulska reinterprets traditional Janów motifs — including horses and geometric folk patterns — through the theme of “the early summer fields.”
In Janów weaving, horses often appear as symbols of abundance and everyday rural life.
The shifting colors of the weft threads and the rhythmic composition of repeating motifs beautifully reflect Danuta’s expressive and flowing style.
With its deep blue tones, the piece evokes the feeling of early summer wind moving across open grasslands.
About Janów Weaving
In the village of Janów, located in the Podlasie region of northeastern Poland, a special weaving technique known as “double weave” has been passed down since the 18th century.
Its poetic folk motifs — birds, trees, flowers, horses, and scenes from everyday life — are among the most distinctive charms of traditional Janów textiles.
